Recruited by Coach Mark Cardwell from Albany High School in Albany, NY, where he was an all-star player and captain of the basketball team. He received his BS Degree in Business Administration at West Virginia State.
He was named team co-captain; named to All-Tournament team and All-Conference team; played in the 1961 WVIAC championship game; went to the NAIA and scored a total of 51 points in two games in Kansas City.
He retired from General Electric Lighting as the first African-American hired in Sales and Marketing. He was instrumental in GE establishing a recruitment program with State.
He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity where he served as historian and chair of the golf committee.
