The WVSU women's tennis team opened its season with a pair of wins over the weekend.

      Friday the Yellow Jackets defeated visiting Concord 9-0 and then followed that with a 9-0 win over visiting Fairmont State on Saturday morning.

      A Sunday match at UVa-Wise was canceled due to rain and re-scheduled for October 16.
