The WVSU women's tennis team rallied from an early 2-1 deficit to defeat the University of Charleston 6-3 Tuesday afternoon and clinch the the Mountain East Conference championship.

The third doubles team of
Diana Cotoros and
Brenda Cumpa scored the Jackets' first point with an 8-5 win. The Golden Eagles tied the score by taking second doubles 8-5.
The first doubles match-up provided plenty of drama before UC finally won 9-8 with the tiebreaker going to 8-6.
But the Yellow Jackets gathered themselves and proceeded to dominate singles play by taking five of six matches.

The victory earns the Jackets their fourth straight league crown.
