The WVSU women's tennis team wrapped up a long weekend of competition with a 9-0 win at Bluefield State Sunday afternoon.
The Yellow Jackets played in the Liberty University fall tournament on Friday and Saturday in Lynchburg, Va., finishing with good results.
The field featured NCAA Division I squads from Virginia Tech, James Madison, Radford, Longwood, Norfolk State, as well as the host Flames along with Division III power Christopher Newport.
There were eight singles and four doubles divisions.
The top finishers for WVSU were
Amber Schneider taking second at number eight,
Jordan Kerns third at number seven, and Nadia Grlj and
Brittany Franco taking fourth in the number six and number one divisions respectively.
Grlj and
Cora Berna took fourth at second doubles as did Schneider and
Diana Cotoros at fourth doubles as every player won at least one singles and won doubles match.
