Women's Tennis Wins NCAA Opener

The Yellow Jacket women's tennis team defeated Slippery Rock 5-2 Saturday at Indiana University, Pa. to advance to the NCAA Atlantic Region final.

WVSU will face host IUP at 10 am Sunday morning with a spot in the final 16 in Tucson, Arizona, on the line.

IUP defeated Shaw University 5-3 earlier in the day.
The Yellow Jackets took two out of three doubles to take an early lead Saturday. Brittany Franco, Andreea Slusarciuc, and Cora Berna then swept to wins at first, second, and third singles to clinch the victory.
