Baseball Drops Pair to UC

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 West Virginia State University Baseball dropped a doubleheader to the University of Charleston by scores of 10-3 and 7-4 at Triana Field.

Game 1
West Virginia State University jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning, when Connor Slagill double scored Christopher Jordan from 2nd base for the 1st run, and Slagill would score 2 batters later when Matt Harrison would rip a shot past the Golden Eagles 3rd basemen. However, UC would score runs in 5 straight innings for the 10-3 victory in game 1 of the four game series....

Game 2
West Virginia State University trailed 4-0 going into the top of the 5th inning. The Jackets took advantage of 3 Golden Eagles errors to tie the score 4-4. The University of Charleston would score 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning and go on to win 7-4.

The teams will finishe the regular season with a doubleheader at Cal Bailey Field on Sunday, May 5, 2019. 1st pitch from Cal Bailey Field is scheduled for 1pm
