Box Score The first half clearly belonged to the Yellow Jacket men when they hosted rival University of Charleston Thursday night.

But the second half just as decisively went to the Golden Eagles.

Unfortunately for the Jackets and their fans in the Walker Convocation Center the final result was an agonizingly close 70-68 loss.

It was all Jackets during the early going as WVSU jumped out to a a 13 point lead in the first half and led 36-27 at halftime.

The visitors steadily pulled closer and after a few minutes of back-and both lead changes Charleston took a 63-62 lead with 2:38 to play and held on down the stretch as a pair of Yellow Jacket shots rolled out in the final seconds.

Markee Mazyck paced WVSU with 18 points with Frank Webb adding 16.
