Winner of six of its last seven games to WVSU baseball team has not only taken over second place in the Mountain East Conference standings but moved into the number eight spot in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional rankings.
That places the Yellow Jackets in solid contention for both the MEC title and an NCAA bid.
The Jackets play a regular season ending four game series at the University of Charleston this weekend and will be looking to build momentum moving into the tournament.

Brandon Wright leads the way on the base paths with 13 steals. Junior
Dustin Kincaid leads starting pitchers with an earned run average of 1.57 while
Tyler Thompson's 45 strikeoutsis tops among the staff.
Junior reliever Josh Falbo continues to build on his program career saves record with eight so far.
As a team the Yellow Jackets rank third in the MEC in batting average while they are second in earned run average.
