Dustin Kincaid threw complete games as WVSU swept a doubleheader at Concord Thursday afternoon.
Gainer (1-0) allowed 10 hits but just two runs as the Yellow Jackets won the opener 9-2.
Cody Smith went 3-of-4 at the plate with an RBI, Josh Kiser knocked in two runs with a doubel and single,
Jordan Simpson and
Trenton Porter each contributed two hits and
Jamison Jones drove in a pair of runs to pace WVSU.
The nightcap went to the Jackets by a score of 6-1 with Kincaid scattering five hits, four of them singles, to improve to 5-0 on the season.
Porter had a big game at the plate withdriving in two runs off oftwo singles, a double, and a home run.
Brandon Wright,
Tyler Payne, and Jones each had a pair of hits and drove in a run.
The wins move the Yellow Jackets back into second place a few percentage point sin fron of this weekend's opponent, Notre Dame.
