Baseball Runs Win Streak to 10 Before Splitting

The WVSU baseball team ran its win streak to 10 games with a 6-3 victory in Sunday's opening game of a doubleheader at West Virginia Wesleyan.
The Yellow Jackets broke a 3-3 tie with three runs in the top of the seventh. Josh Kiser, Tyler Payne, and Trenton Porter each drove in a run in the inning.
Josh Falbo came on to pitch a pefect seventh striking out two and coaxing a groundball from the third Bobcat hitter.
Falbo picked up his sixth save of the season while starter Tyler Thompson earned the win to improve to 5-1 on the season.
A late game surge did not turn out as well in the nightcap.as the Bobcats countered a three run Yellow Jacket sixth inning with four runs of their own in the bottom of the fram to take a 7-5 decision.
Phillip Mandt had a pair of singles and drove in a run to pace the WVSU offense.
