Box Score 2 The Yellow Jacket baseball squad took three out of four games from visiting Wheeling Jesuit Sunday and Monday.
In Sunday's series opener WVSU broke open a tight 2-1 ballgame in the opener with six runs in the sixth inning to take an 8-1 victory.
Jordan Simpson drove in two runs in that frame, the first with a double and the second with a bases loaded walk.
Tyler Thompson went six strong innings to pick up the win.
Eric Roberts tossed six shutout innings to lead WVSU to another 8-1 win in the nightcap.
Cody Smith hit a solo home run while
Tyler Payne and Jameson Jones each had a pair of hits.
The visitors took game three on Monday by a 4-3 count. Josh Kiser and
Trenton Porter each had two hits to pace the WVSU offense.
The Yellow Jackets came back strong in the finale scoring seven times in the third and six times in the sixth for a 13-0 victory.

Curtis Johnson, and Josh Falbo combined to throw the shutout.
Porter and Kiser remained hot at the plate. Porter drove in four runs on a home run and pair of singles while Kiser knocked in three with a single and a pair of doubles.
