Baseball Drops Opener 8-5 at #26 Georgia College

Box Score      The WVSU baseball squad dropped its season opener at #26 Georgia College Friday afternoon in Milledgeville, GA.
     Tyler Payne had a single and a pair of doubles to go 3-for-4 with one run batted in to pace the Yellow Jacket attack.
     A two-out grand slam off the bat of the Bobcats' Jake Sandlin in the fifth inning broke a 4-4 tie and proved to be the difference.
     Curtin Johnson came in to retire the last six Bobcast in order, four on strikeouts.
     A total of eight Yellow Jackets picked up at least one hit as they picked up 10 while the WVSU pitching staff fanned 13.
     The series continues with single games Saturday and Sunday.
