Baseball Takes Three of Four Over Weekend

   The WVSU baseball team improved to 5-1 on the young season by winning three out of four games against Wheeling Jesuit over the weekend.

    The Yellow Jackets swept Friday's doubleheader by scores of 3-2 and 6-3. They split Saturday's, taking game one 14-4 before dropping game two 12-5.

    Eric Craft had a big series with nine hits and three runs batted in while Cody Smith finished the weekend with five hits, including a home run, and five RBI.

    Tyler Hall turned in an outstanding performance on the mound Friday tossing four shutout innings. Zach Cloxton swung a big bat in Saturday's win going 3-for-4 with five RBI.
