The WVSU women's basketball team climbed to sixth in the final regular season standings and earned the right to host a first round WVIAC tournament game Monday at 7 p.m. against West Virginia Wesleyan.
After a slow start the women closed out the regular season with a convincing win over Charleston to finish 13-13 overall and 12-10 in WVIAC play.
On the men's side the Yellow Jackets will take the short drive to the University of Charleston for a Tuesday, 7:30 p.m. contest.
The WVSU men wound up with a 10-18 mark and a 7-15 conference record for 12th place.
