The WVSU men's and women's basketball teams fell to visiting West Virginia Wesleyan Monday night.
In the opener a late Yellow Jacket rally came up just short as the Bobcats won 57-51. The nightcap followed a similar scenario as WVSU fell behind early then rallied late before dropping a 70-59 decision.
Jasmine Blanton paced the shorthanded WVSU women with 22 points with
Maria Femia adding 10. The women dressed just seven players as
Janelle Williams sat out due to an injury and
Jordan Brock due to illness.
The men featured a balanced attack with
Jalen Walker scoring 14,
Raymon Austin 12,
David Ford 11, and Anton Hutchins 10.
