The WVSU men's basketball squad gave the number two team in the country all it could handle Thursday night in Fleming Hall.
The Yellow Jackets played West Liberty to a 43-43 halftime tie and had the ball trailing by just four points with 5:24 to play before falling 84-73.
Corey Bethea paced WVSU with 21 points with
David Ford adding 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Delrico Lane had a personal season high 11 rebounds.
