Box Score The visiting Pioneers outscored the Yellow Jackets 23-13 over the final seven minutes to pull ahead for an 89-80 win Saturday afternoon in Institute.
Markee Mazyck had a strong outing in his first game back after breaking a hand back on November 16. The 6-6 junior finished with 20 points in 28 minutes of action.
Dominic Phillips added 17 points and eight assists for WVSU.

Damion Harris saw limited action due to foul problems and wound up with six points and four rebounds in just 18 minutes.
The Yellow Jackets had a good night at the free throw line hitting 23-of-26, 88.5 percent.
After startting out hot from the floor though they saw their field goal percentage drop from 50 percent in the first half to 36 percent in the second while Glenville State hit over 59 percent from the floor over the last 20 minutes.
Next up WVSU travels to West Virginia Wesleyan Monday.
