Box Score     The WVSU men's basketball squad improved to 1-1 in Mountain East Conference play with a hard fought 73-66 win at Shepherd Thursday night.
    The Yellow Jackets broke a 63-63 tie with 2:41 to play by closing out the contest on a 10-3 run.
    Dominic Phillips paced WVSU with 24 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.
    Devin Delaney contributed 13 points and eight rebounds.
    The Jacket defense held the Rams to a 32.8 percent shooting night while WVSU sank 45.8 percent of its attempts.
