Box Score West Virginia State University Lady Yellow Jackets ended the game on a 17-2 scoring run over the last 3:44, erasing a 10 point defecit to pull out the 85-80 win over Shepherd University. Senior Lexy Carson had 11 of her game high 26 points. It was Head Coach David Smith 600 career victory.

Other double digit scorers were senior Jordan Brock with 20 points and freshman Shealyn Shafter with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

WVSU is now 12-6 overall and 8-4 in the Mountaineast Conference. The 3rd place Lady Yellow Jackets next game is on Thursday, January 30, 2014 against 4th place Fairmont State University. Tip Off is set for 5:30PM
