Jackets Pound Boards in Win over Concord 94-85

Kings 32 leads the way

Freshman Terry Wood's 3-point shot from the top of the key off senior Bo King's first assist of the night put the Yellow Jackets up 6-5 with 19:05 mark of the first half. WVSU would never trail the rest of the game, jumping out to a 48-36 halftime lead and winning by a final score of 94-85 at Concord University.

The Yellow Jackets had their best three point shooting performance of the season, hitting 10 of 21 attempts. WVSU out rebounded the Mountain Lions 54-37. The 54 rebounds was a season best. WVSU had seven players with five or more rebounds. Sophomore Steve Wing led with 12, off the bench, followed by Dominic Phillips eight, Bo King and Terry Wood with six each; Juan Johnson, Anton Hutchins, and Stephen Thompson with five each.

Concord had beaten the Yellow Jackets five straight times, with the last win the Mountain Lions a 98-90 victory on November 17, 2010. Head Coach Bryan Poore "Great Team Win. I have had several teams come to Concord and lose. Bo King had a great shooting noight and our bigs rebounded the ball as good as we have all year."

The Yellow Jackets were led in scoring by Senior Bo King with 32, followed by Dominic Phillips with 19, and Steve Wing with 15 points.
