The Yellow Jacket men dropped an 87-71 decision to visiting Wheeling Jesuit Saturday afternoon.

The Cardinals opened the game with hot shooting hands hitting 52 percent from the floor in the opening half. Meanwhile the Jackets' shots were not falling as they hit just 32 percent in the first half.

Wheeling took a 47-34 lead into the break and held off every WVSU attempt to close the margin.

Dominic Phillips paced WVSU with 16 points with Angelo Sirianni adding 12 and Anton Hutchins 11.
