INSTITUTE – Following a historic 2025-26 season, West Virginia State University head tennis coach Andre Cunningham announced the fall 2026 schedule, which features four events for the women's team and five for the men's team.

"This fall we have a new addition to the coaching staff, Clara Sobius. We are welcoming her from Tarleton State, and she will bring added value and knowledge from competing at the Division I level for four years," Cunningham said. "This fall we are looking to continue the momentum of last year for both teams. We had a historic year for the men, and the women are on an upward trend. We have a competitive schedule this fall, so it will be good for us in preparation for our spring competition."

Both programs start their fall campaign Sept. 12 with a home match against Cedarville University. Two weeks later, they travel to Fairmont for the Fairmont State Fall Brawl. The following week features two road matches, with the Yellow Jackets facing Walsh University on Oct. 2 and Ashland University on Oct. 3. The men close their fall schedule Oct. 15-18 at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Atlantic Regionals, hosted by Bloomsburg University.
