BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference league offices announced West Virginia State's Tuva Wallin as its Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. Wallin won at No. 1 doubles and No. 1 singles to help her team to a 6-1 victory over Frostburg State this past Saturday.

Wallin was paired with teammate Amanda Menendez-Thomasson at No. 1 doubles and was able to achieve a 6-4 victory over Frostburg's top pairing. The Yellow Jackets swept all three doubles matches to take the doubles point.

Wallin then scored another point for her team at No. 1 singles with a convincing win against the Bobcats' Alyssa Kush. Wallin shutout Kush in the first set, 6-0, before easily claiming the second set, 6-2.
