BUCKHANNON, W.Va. -- No. 49 West Virginia State University women's tennis demolished West Virginia Wesleyan, 6-0, on the road Thursday. The Yellow Jackets jump to 8-4 on the season with the landslide victory and remain perfect in the Mountain East Conference at 2-0 now.

West Virginia State was dominant in all three pairings during doubles play. Cumulatively, WVSU only dropped two sets on the way to sweeping the Bobcats and claiming the doubles point.
Both
Tuva Wallin and
Chante Malo shutout their opponents while
Julieta Beltramino only conceded one point through two sets.
Maya Haidari and
Julia Daszkiewicz also made relatively quick work of their opponents at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, respectively.
Gaya Solomon was on her way to doing the same before her match was halted due to weather. The Yellow Jackets did not drop a single set through doubles and singles play.
The women's tennis team is scheduled to play Frostburg State on the road next on Monday, April 11th.
