WINTER PARK, Fla. – The No. 32 West Virginia State University women's tennis team dropped a match to Rollins College, 6-1, at the Bert Martin Tennis Complex on Tuesday. Tuva Wallin was the lone victor for the Yellow Jackets at No. 2 singles.

Wallin dropped the first set to the Tars' Alexandra Borg, 4-6, before she rallied to take the second set, 6-2. Wallin was absolutely dominant in the third set and shutout Borg, 10-0.

Gaya Solomon came close to forcing a third set in No. 1 singles. After dropping the first set by a scoreline of 6-2, she was faced with a tiebreak at 6-6 in the second set. Rollins' Georgina Groth ended up winning the tiebreak, 7-3, to claim the point for her team.

Both No. 1 and No. 3 doubles were close matches that the Yellow Jackets were narrowly defeated in. Solomon and partner Chante Malo were edged, 6-4, at No. 1 doubles prior to Wallin and Lea Rolland being upset, 7-5, in the No. 3 doubles pairing.
