Box Score     The WVSU women's basketball squad dropped a hard fought, hotly contested game to visiting rival Charleston Thursday evening in the Walker Convocation Center.

    In the night's opening contest the Yellow Jacket women took a 41-34 lead into halftime only to see it disappear in the second half on the way to falling 77-74.

   The Jackets' last led 64-63 with 5:17 left to play. The Golden Eagles hit a 3-pointer to go up 66-64 with 4:47 to go and WVSU was not able to recover.

   Laura Szorenyi led the Jackets with 25 points followed by Shea Hines with 16 and Alexus Hobbs with 12.
