Tyrell Henderson with a 32 yard scoring strike.
Little did WVSU fans, or Concord's for that matter, realize at the time that would be the Jackets final highlight of the day.
The Mountain Lions responded quickly with three scores in the opening period and never looked back on the way to defeating WVSU 52-7.
Concordblocked two puntsand took advantage of a WVSU fumbleto spurt ahead.
First the Mountain Lionstied the score by blocking
Kole Patterson's punt attemptand running itback 35 yards to the endzone with 5:16 to play in the opening period.
Then Concordpartially blocked the next WVSU punt to give themselves good field position at the Yellow Jacket 49 and three plays later took the lead at 14-7.
On State'sensuing possession Kinnick hit
Akil Washington with a first down passfor 13 yards butWashington had the ball stripped and recoveredby the Mountain Lions. They took over at the WVSU 27 and again took advantage of the short field pushing their lead to 21-7 and the Yellow Jacketswere never able to recover.
Kinnick finished 20-of-40 passing for 206 yards and Henderson had four catches for 70 yards.
Dennis Gardeck made six tackles and an interceptiondefensively.
