    WVSU (1-1) is led by red-shirt freshman quarterback Matt Kinnick who has completed 68.9 percent of his passes for 389 yards.
   His top targets have been junior Joe Thornton and freshman Quinton gray who have 10 catches each.
   Another red-shirt freshman, linebacker Dennis Gardeck, paces the deefnse with 16 tackles while senior defensive lineman Wenly Beliad has made 14 stops including three for a loss.
   The Hilltoppers (1-1) struggled on offense until scoring 10 points in the final 2:03 last week at Glenville State to send that contest to double-overtime where they won on a field goal and defensive stop.
   Sophomore quarterback Dakota Conwell has completed 45.3 percent of his passes for 241 yards while Jeremiah Ortiz has been the top threat out of the backfield with 115 yards on 35 carries.
