    Mattie Best made her Senior Day a special one blasting the game winning home run in the third inning of game one Saturday. The WVSU softball squad went on to split a doubleheader with visiting Concord winning the opener 2-0, Alana Weyant also hit a solo home run, before dropping game two 6-4.
    Best, the Yellow Jackets' lone senior, is winding down a stellar career that has seen her play in the last two NCAA tournaments, be named first team All-Conference as well as first team All-Region as a sophomore and junior. Honors she should repeat again this year.
