WVSU Women Advance to Semifinals

Box Score The Yellow Jacket women's basketball team defeated Fairmont State 71-59 Thursday night to advance to the semifinals of the Mountain East Conference Tournament.
Lexy Carson led the way with 24 points and Asia Greenleaf added 13 to go over 1,000 for her career.
Carson hit a jumper with 4:14 to play in the first half to give WVSU a 25-24 lead and the Jackets never trailed after that.
WVSU now faces Glenville State at 2:15 p.m. Saturday at the Charleston Civic Center.
