     The WVSU women's basketball team improved to 17-9 overall and 13-7 in MEC play with a 77-61 win over visiting Urbana Saturday afternoon.
    Senior Jordan Brock tied her career high with 23 points and notched a personal season high 12 rebounds to pace the effort.
    The victory leaves WVSU in a three-way tie for third place in the conference with two games remaining.
    Lexy Carson added 17 points, Shealyn Shafer 14, and India Taste 12.
