Sophomore defensive back Kevin Coffie was named to the second team All Mountain East Conference football squad selected by league coaches.
    Coffie led the Yellow Jackets with 19 pass break-ups, intercepted two passes and had 46 tackles and blocked one kick.
    Seniors Wenly Beliard and  offensive lineman Ricardo Figueroa as well as freshman linebacker Dennis Gardeck received Honorable Mention nods from the coaches.
    Beliard, a defensive lineman, was second in tackles for WVSU with 74 and led the way with six sacks.
    Gardeck was credited with 69 tackles, four sacks, and broke up six passes during his rookie season.
