Box Score The WVSU women's basketball team took a 2-0 on a Kashauna Cook bucket lead 1:07 into Monday's game at Wheeling Jesuit and never trailed on the way to defeating the Cardinals 59-53 Cook led the Jackets with 16 points and 13 rebounds with Jasmine Blanton and Maria Femia adding 10 points each.
The WVSU lead reached as many as 17 points before a late Wheeling rally cut the deficit to three with 38 seconds remaining but Blanton sank 3-of-4 free throws in the closing seconds to wrap up the victory.
