The WVSU softball team saw its record improve to 14-5 with a sweep of Chowan University Monday.
Kayla Sturms pounded out three hits while Sabrina Schouten and Mattie Best belted triples to lead the Yellow Jackets to a 7-6 win in game one.
Best added a double and triple while Sara Pelegreen went the distance in the circle as WSVU won game two 6-1. Brittany Hyatt, Desiree Giffin, and Victoria Crawford contributed doubles.
