Brian Reynolds joined the Yellow Jackets in 2026 as a football coach and former United States Marine Corps leader with extensive experience in athlete development, strength and conditioning, and leadership training. Reynolds will take on multiple roles as a Co-Defensive Coordinator, Linebacker, as well as Strength and Conditioning coach.
Before becoming a Yellow Jackets, served as the Outside Linebackers Coach at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, where he worked closely with the defensive staff to develop the outside linebacker position group, assist with film breakdown and defensive installation, and support recruiting efforts across Florida and nationally. Reynolds also coordinated football camp operations and mentored student-athletes throughout the year, helping them set goals and grow both athletically and personally.
Preceding Stetson, Reynolds served as the Defensive Backs Coach at Blinn Junior College in Brenham, Texas. In that role, he coached safeties and cornerbacks, led secondary meetings, and played a key role in strength and conditioning programs for the defensive unit. He also oversaw pregame warmups and worked closely with players to track their development, improve performance, and maintain safe training practices. During that time, Reynolds also gained experience at the highest level of collegiate athletics as a Strength and Conditioning Intern with the Texas A&M University football program, assisting with offseason lifting programs, speed development training, injury rehabilitation support, and nutritional guidance for athletes.
Prior to his coaching career, Reynolds served in the United States Marine Corps, where he held several leadership roles within the prestigious Body Bearer program at Arlington National Cemetery. As a Platoon Sergeant, he oversaw training, logistics, and daily operations while participating in more than 950 ceremonial funerals, the highest number recorded in the program’s history. He was also selected to represent the Marine Corps during multiple joint-service funerals across the country, including ceremonies honoring Medal of Honor recipients. Earlier in his military career, Reynolds served as a Body Bearer Instructor and Recruiter, delivering more than 1,900 hours of training while increasing recruitment for the unit through targeted presentations and candidate evaluation.
Reynolds holds a Master’s degree in Sports Management from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Bethel University in Tennessee. While at Bethel, he was a three-year football letterman and served two seasons as a team captain. He also holds multiple certifications in strength and conditioning, sports nutrition, and personal training. Reynolds combines military leadership experience with a passion for coaching to help student-athletes develop discipline, character, and success both on and off the field.
