DRAPER, Va. – The West Virginia State men's golf team finished third at the Battle for Draper this week, with William Wentz and Brennen Sang bringing home top-10 finishes for the Yellow Jackets. 

Wentz shot a two-over par 74 in the first round before carding an 85 in the second round to finish tied for fifth. Sang, who shot a 77 on day one posted a second round score of 85, finishing in ninth place. 

Austin Brooks finished tied for 12th after shooting an 85 in the first round and a 79 in the final round. One stroke behind him was Chase Smith, who shot a first round 79 and posted an 86 in the second round to bring home a 14th-place finish. 

Dontae Harris and Brody Sipple rounded out the lineup for WVSU, with Harris finishing 20th and Sipple bringing home a 21st-place finish.
