INSTITUTE, W.Va. — West Virginia State University Athletics and WVRC Media have entered into a new agreement that will bring live radio broadcasts of select Yellow Jackets athletic events to a wider audience during the 2025–26 season. Under the new partnership, WVSU football, all men's basketball games, and a selection of women's basketball games will be aired live on 107.3 The Beat (WRVZ-FM), one of WVRC's premiere radio stations in the Charleston-Huntington market.
The agreement marks the beginning of a new partnership between WVSU and WVRC Media aimed at expanding the reach of Yellow Jacket athletics throughout the region. Fans will be able to listen live to the action, with game broadcasts featuring commentary and additional coverage throughout the season.

As part of the agreement, WVRC will also provide promotional support across its radio network and digital platforms. The contract runs through the 2025–26 academic year and includes an option for renewal.
