BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- The Mountain East Conference released its All-Conference selections for Women's basketball and
Emyah Fortenberry earned second team honors while
Shanley Woods was named as an honorable mention.
Fortenberry (Senior/Forward/Atlanta, Ga.) became the all-time leading rebounder for West Virginia State women's basketball as well as the first women's basketball player to ever gather 1,000 rebounds in a career. She led the conference with 329 total rebounds, and 11.9 rebounds per game. Fortenberry was also the second leading scorer in a tight battle for top scorer at 299. She averaged 21.7 minutes on the floor and shot 40.9 percent.
Woods (Senior/Guard/Wheeling, W.Va.) led the attack from beyond the arc, shooting 83-for-213 from three point range. She was a perfect 18-for-18 from the charity stripe and gathered 60 rebounds.
