BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. --
The Mountain East Conference announced on Monday that
Brodie Guenther has been named Co-Player of the Week for Baseball, presented by the Health Plan, after he went 5-for-5 during this weekend's doubleheader against Bluefield State.
Across two games, Guenther was nearly unstoppable, going a perfect 5-for-5 with 4 RBIs, a sac fly, and 4 runs scored, helping lead the Yellow Jackets' offensive charge.
- Game 1: 3-for-3, 3 RBIs, 2 runs scored
- Game 2: 2-for-2, 1 RBI, sac fly, 2 runs scored
Guenther's ability to deliver in clutch moments and his flawless hitting display played a key role in WVSU's success, earning him the honor.
WVSU Baseball returns to the diamond on Friday, Feb. 21 for a four-game series against Malone.
