SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) named three Yellow Jackets on the 2024 All-Atlantic Region teams on Wednesday. First baseman Mike Huber and starting pitcher Chris Morris were named to the first team. Shortstop Kyle Waters made the second team along with Morris as an outfielder.

Huber was an All-MEC First Team selection and earned MEC Player of the Week honors once this season. He received an All-MEC Honorable Mention in 2023. Huber hit .402 and led the league in both home runs (18) and runs batted in (62). He also led the conference in putouts (354) while only committing one error all year.   

Morris was the Mountain East Conference's Pitcher of the Year as well as an All-MEC First Team honoree. He was named MEC Pitcher of the Week twice this year. He also earned an All-MEC Second Team nod as an outfielder. He ranked second in the league in ERA (2.41), opposing batting average (.193), innings pitched (71.0) and batters struck out (85) while posting an 8-2 record on the mound. At the plate, he slugged .578 with 14 home runs and 42 runs batted in.   

Waters was named to the All-MEC First Team. He ranked second in the conference in hits (69) and runs scored (50). He led the league in assists with 133 on the season. He hit .361 with eight home runs, five triples, 12 doubles and 41 runs batted in.
