Game 1 - WVSU 5, WVWC 3
State took the lead early on with a Clark lead-off single, then an Emma Pauley single scored Clark.

The lead was short-lived. Wesleyan scored three runs in the top of the second inning.

Clark once again boarded the base paths in the bottom of the second, this time via error when the first baseman fumbled the ground ball. Thompson then blasted a shot into right center that went all the way to the fence. Clark scored on the play, but Thompson was thrown out at third trying to stretch the double into a triple.

Wesleyan held the one-run lead until the bottom of the fourth, Sydney Shamblin hit into a fielder's choice at short, attempting to retire Clarke Moore who was headed from third to home, but the throw came late and State tied the game at 3-all.

State grabbed the lead in the bottom of the sixth with a chaotic sequence. Autumn Hall grounded out to shortstop, which allowed Moore to score. After Hall was retired, the first baseman threw to third to squeeze a double play and get Kristabelle Carte out, but the throw was high and Carte scored an insurance run, 5-3.

The Bobcats went down in order in the top of the seventh for State's third consecutive win over the Bobcats.

Game 2 - WVSU 1, WVWC 4
WVSU scored their lone run in the bottom of the first inning. Thompson boarded base via a five-pitch walk then scored when Emma Pauley cued the ball off the end of her bat and ended up grounding out to the catcher. Thompson, meanwhile, was sent home and the throw from the first baseman was over the catcher's head, 1-0.

State kept the 1-0 lead until the top of the fourth when Wesleyan plated a run on a sacrifice fly. The Bobcats broke the stalemate with three runs in the top of the sixth, 4-1.

State had runners on first and second with no outs in the final half-inning, but a pair of strikeouts and a fly out cut the rally attempt short.
