Post-Meet Records
WVSU: 1-2
Bluefield State: 0-1
How It Happened
State took the Acro and Toss heats during the Compulsory event, but dropped the Pyramid heat to Bluefield State. The two teams tied in the tumbling heat, but State had accrued enough points to secure the Compulsory event. State handily won all three heats in both the Acro and Pyramid events, taking a 62.650-53.200 lead at halftime.Â
In the toss event, Bluefield State came out strong and took the first two heats. While WVSU won the third heat, it wasn't enough to win the event, but WVSU still held the overall lead. In the tumbling event, Bluefield State took the first heat, but WVSU won the next four heats and just barely dropped the sixth heat in the event. State then won the team event by over five points, securing the meet.
