INSTITUTE, W.Va. – The West Virginia State University women's soccer team is heading back to the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Tournament for the second time in program history. The Yellow Jackets earned the No. 4 seed in the Atlantic Regional and will face No. 5 seed Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) on Friday, Nov. 22, at 1 p.m. at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, W.Va.

West Virginia State enters the tournament with a stellar 15-3-3 record, fresh off claiming the Mountain East Conference (MEC) Championship with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Charleston this past Sunday. Under the leadership of Head Coach Brandon Slewa, the Yellow Jackets will aim to continue their remarkable postseason run.

IUP holds an 11-2-4 record after falling in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) quarterfinals to Slippery Rock, 2-1, in extra time.

The winner of Friday's matchup will advance to face the tournament's top seed, Shepherd University, which received a first-round bye.
