BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference named West Virginia State's Connor Fizer its Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. Fizer hit three homeruns in three games played last week.

The Yellow Jackets swept Lake Erie College in a three-game series over the weekend. Fizer hit a two-run jack to open the scoring in the first game of the series.  In the second game of the series, he hit a grand slam and a walk-off solo shot as the leadoff batter in the bottom of the seventh. 

In total, he batted 3-for-8 (.375) with three homeruns, seven RBIs and three runs scored, with one base on balls, as State's designated hitter.
