BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- West Virginia State's
Abigail Wild is the Mountain East Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced today.
Wild, a freshman from Sheffield, England, helped West Virginia State wrap up the MEC regular season title with wins in singles and doubles against Charleston. She won at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-0, and then won at No. 2 doubles, 6-3, partnering with
Emily Moore. This is Wild's second time this season being named MEC Player of the Week.
