BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- The Mountain East Conference (MEC) league offices released its annual list of academic awards for winter and spring sports on Thursday afternoon. A total of 44 Yellow Jackets landed on this year's All-Academic Teams. Twenty-five of West Virginia State's student-athletes received Academic All-Conference (3.70-4.0 GPA) honors while 19 made the Commissioner's Honor Roll (3.25-3.69 GPA).

Due to the nature of the spring semester, the grade-point averages used were from the fall of 2019 semester. Information for inclusion on the lists was submitted by each institution.

The sports included were acrobatics and tumbling, baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track and field, softball, women's lacrosse and wrestling.
