Softball Sweeps Urbana
The West Virginia State University Softball team improved to 23-10 overall and 16-6 in MEC play by sweeping the Blue Knights of Urbana by scores of 11-0 sand 7-2. The Jackets pounded out 24 hits during the doubleheader, including 5 players with multiple hits on the day. Senior Outfielder Brookelyn Hale had 5 hits and 2 rbi's. Junior Emily Thompson threw her 4th completed game in Game 1. She struck out 5 in Emily Thompson improving to 6-4 on the season. Freshman Emilee Walker improved to 6-1 on the season with her 4th complete game of the season. The Jackets will play at Notre Dame College on Tuesday 04/16/19. More details to come..
