STATE BASEBALL HOSTS OHIO VALLEY
West Virginia State University (8-12) hosts Ohio Valley University (4-16) in a non-conference game on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. First pitch of the 9-inning affair is scheduled for 3:00 PM at Cal Bailey Field. The Jackets are 8-5 in the month of March winning 6 of their last 8 in MEC Competition.

Leading the Jackets are junior Matt Harrison  with a 391 batting average, second on team with 25 hits, and 4th in rbi's with 12. He is followed by Senior Connor Slagill. The transfer from Presbyterian College who is originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, is second on the team in batting average at 386, and leads the team in hits 27, rbi's 25, and home runs with 7.

The Jackets are 41-6 all time versus Ohio Valley since 1999.
