Jacket Women Roll to Victory Over Visiting Wheeling Jesuit
    A total of five different players scored as the Yellow Jackets tallied the first 12 points of the game Saturday afternoon against visiting Wheeling Jesuit.

     After that WVSU maintained a healthy lead the rest of the way in rolling to a 104-79 win.

     Everyone contributed for the Jackets, who led by as many as 34 points at one time, with Jordan Miller leading the way with 21 points followed by Anesha Harmon and Charity Shears with 15 each.

     WVSU broke the century mark for the first time since a 102-95 win over Livingstone in the season opener.

     Overall the Yellow Jackets Shot better from the floor hitting 46.7 of their attempts while the Cardinals could convert just 39.1 percent. The difference in 3-point scoring was even more profound with WVU sinking 16 of 39 tries, 41 percent, compared to Wheeling Jesuit's 7-of-23 effort, 30.4 percent.

     WVSU recorded season highs in assists with 28 and steals with 18.

     The Yellow Jackets host Glenville State at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in their next contest.
