The Yellow Jackets used both their bats and their gloves to defeat visiting Alderson Broaddus 11-3 Tuesday afternoon.

Andrew Stone broke a 3-3 tie with a solo home run in the third and
Daniel Rutherford belted a three-run blast a few batters later as the Jackets scored six times in the inning to take control.
 A total of six WVSU hitters drove in runs as the Yellow Jackets pounded out 11 hits with
Christopher Jordan leading the way with three.
 Meanwhile the Jackets were erasing nearly every threat the visitors mounted by pulling off four double-plays.
 Kip Brewer started and went five innings to get the victory.
 The Yellow Jackets next host West Liberty for a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. Friday.
  Wheeling Jesuit comes to town Saturday also for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
